Yes Andy, I found that too. I could never go back to sub 300 now, driving the S8 is just about ok, and thats only 330 but really after having the RS2 spec coupe with all the toys everything else feels a bit slow.
In S2 ownership we all seem to want more power/torque etc. anybody actually ever gone backwards? As in Rs2 to Chipped S2 power?
Ive been Rs2'd (370brake) for 2 years and think its just right, if I ever changed to a different S2 (you never know) it would be dissapointing right?
There are those that say a chipped K24 (-7000) (to MTM+1 equivalent with 3 Bar MAP) is just as good or better around town than a chipped full RS2 (K24-7200) set-up.
But out on the highway, they are left in the dust by the RS2 set-up car.
RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan
94 UrS4 V8 6 spd manual avant
I went to buy a standard S2 Avant a few years back in standard trim. It felt so slow I thought something was wrong with it!
You need 300 horses plus to make these heavy Audi's feel quick.

this is it,i dont want to feel dissapointed,rs2 setup just feels perfect

Sorry, they are wrong. You just have to drop down a gear and obliterate the K24-7000 car every time
I've driven so many of these setups now, I think all this obsession with power is sometimes unwarranted.
Realistically speaking, around a busy town, a chipped 2.2T is enough for most needs.
The only time you need more, is when you meet other people who are crazy about horsepower and want to show them :mischeif:
I was thinking about swapping out my RS2 turbo, but it would mean changing lots of other stuff, which I really don't want to do at the moment.
What could I expect from a hybrid RS2 turbo power wise? Also, what's the cost associated with getting the unit upgraded??
Assuming you also have an RS2 or RS2 spec car, 'all' I needed to achieve 392PS was a hybrid turbo from Hoffer76, bigger injectors, 3" downpipe and de-cat exhaust system and a custom map from PRJ. Have a look at PRJ's blog for the dyno graph.
@Dmitri I've got a hybrid RS2 turbo from Hoffer aswell, 3'' downpipe and new original RS2 injectors. Are the injectors the limiting factor and what would be realistic power with this setup?
