    UrS4 itching my attention

Yup!!! I noticed an add in my area of a 94 UrS4 for sale. I went and saw it with my rusted ol' pos 95 Ram Cummins. The problem is I am missing room in the driveway. I have too many toys. I just love the sound of the 5 zylinder and the potential of these engine/cars.

I have 3 vehicles and 1 boat. NO ROOM!!!

      This one: http://montreal.bizcaf.ca/1994_Audi_..._1084652.dhtml ?

If so, that is a bit pricey unless it is in really good condition, i.e. no body rust and perfect running condition. I know a few UrS4/S6 owners in the Montreal area if you need help looking at it (they won't buy it out from underneath you).

PM me here with your email address if you are interested.

Yeah, that's the one. Paint is in excellent condition. Looks like it was re-sprayed. I just saw it and din't really "Look" at it. Trust me, when I go look at a used car, I check it with a fine toothed comb.

The right hand rear light does not appear to line up boot-body, is that normal?

Yeah, I noticed, will definitely look into that. What worries me is the age of the car and the cold winters we get -20 to -30C. I am a little hesitant to use it as a DD in these conditions. Also, with all the stupid salt they put down in the winter, I wouldn't want one of the best cars made rot beneath me!! Decisions....decisions!!!!

OK, so I went and tried that Audi. Very clean and no rust for the age. I can't believe how these cars are well made. It had a CEL and I jumped it. I got a 2121 code.

2121 (Blink Fault Code), 00516 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
                  Idle switch problem
Switch open circuit, stuck closed Switch defective (Internal solder connections intermittent) or wiring problem

It cuts out when you try to stomp on it. It misses it seems. Coils? POS problem?

Besides that, very clean. I also checked the chassis were the steering rack bolts to. No cracks.

Any thing else I should look into?

You would need to sort the idle switch/throttle poteniometer issue before being concerned that there is a coil or power output stage issue.

Guy is hesitant to sell? Why put it for sale? It's driving me nuts!!!! Car is immaculate, but has some minor things. I offered a price and he said he would think about it!!!

NO shaft play what-so-ever. Flashed 3 codes. Minor stuff. 2121, 2231 (put one from a Saab. Original was oscilating) 2341.

HAHAHAHA!!! just got off the phone. Done deal!!!!
