    ABY 33k Miles

Had a guy in today to buy a S/H fuel tank for his 1994 S2 that he has owned from brand new. In Red only done 33k miles and completely unmolested and very original.

I have pointed him in the direction of this forum so hope he joins

Probably because he didn't keep the tank full and the moisture that got in rusted it out.

(My guess). Extremely low mileage vehicles are *NOT* mint. They have all sorts of non-use problems, e.g. seals that have dried up and cracked due to lack of oil contact.

Some have a very hard life to keep the miles that low. Like ones that have had lots of short town trips. So the sides of the seats have collapsed, geraknob and steering wheel have no leather left on them, it's on it's fifth clutch, cam cover and breather is full of mayo, and so on.

as well. Low mileage dosen't mean that the cars been in a time warp, all the bushes and seals will have degraded over time the same as any other car. Still I'm sure Bri know this just as well as anyone else and I'd love to have a second S2 with that mileage.

Agreed, but these are all things which can be easily repaired or replaced.
Stuff like carpets, trim, upholstery which can't be easily replaced will likely be mint, and thus the reason these cars are more desirable IMHO
