i dont know what happend but today i have received my 380x38 RS4 ceramic rotors ¡¡¡

and the surprise is...... that they are complete NEW and unused¡¡¡ still i their oem Audi boxes,also with the sticker¡¡

i cant believe this¡¡

i have paid just 738€ for them shipping included. i really dont need them for nothing...BUT at that price¡¡

the seller is a german guy with more than 14000 positive feedbacks... and i really cant understand if this guy was knowing WTF was selling¡¡


each of these discs should cost a fortune....

each of these discs weights 7.7Kg , and as you told me caused by the steel bells

i have noticed today that my 400x38 discs weights less..because the bells are not original audi,they are Brembo bells...and surelly they should be made in aluminiun

on the Ferrari F430s etc they have a sensor which somehow measures how much the particles in the disc have moved towards the outer edge as this is when there fooked.
as they dont lip so is there another way of determining the life span of them?
or what happens when they are at the end of there life?
think i remember someone telling me they fade massivley when there worn?
but they take a bit to warm up so would be hard to tell?

i have not any experience with any PCCB brakes,but i will try them soon.
i believe to heard that in normal driving conditions they can have a 300K lifetime use ,also it is possible to use normal ferodo pads with them BUT the lifetime of the pads would be shorter than the normal.

it will be easy to know if it is time to replace the discs... if one day starts having problems to brake the car or makes strange sounds.... we will see i dont know

AFAIK you need special ceramic pads...but they come up on ebay regularily enough
