Random Q - Payments

Hey guys

Wonder if anyone can help me with some info.

One of my other cars has an issue that requires an expensive part and I have found a second hand item. The guy I am getting the part from has been slack in getting back to me and hard to deal with for the past two weeks so as you can imagine I am a bit sceptical about paying him before I get the items. Dont really want to pay him in advance as im sure you understand.

Basically I dont have a paypal account so am going to have to pay him via a bank transfer so does anyone know if I get any protection via paying like this if the items do not turn up? Ie am I going to lose my money or will I get compensation from my bank etc?

Its either this or I wait and drive 200 miles to see him and collect the items and pay him then.

As far as I'm aware you have no cover on bank transfers Chris.

I didnt think I would get any cover but wanted to know if any one else had better info but I think you are right as per my suspicions.

Basically I am after an injector with the sensor for a 99 reg VW T4 ACV engine. 2.5tdi 102bhp. My van has been broken since

Damn.... Its been broken since August and I have traced it to this. Its the wire. I tried to fix it but its to sensitive so it needs replacing and they are mega expensive for not much so am trying to find a used but good one.

Not a bad thought but as previously may do a day trip for it. Have done it in the past for other things. Drag the missus and spend the day out over xmas. I hear Poole is quite nice and its been a while since I was there last.

I presume the sensor has failed on yours?you will more than likely find that the injector body(with the needle sensor) is the same part fitted to most other 5 pot tdis in the 1990s/early 2000s,it will more than likely have a .205 nozzle on it being a 102bhp.They are easy to swap over.I can't check for you at the moment as i am on my phone but I have plenty of these kinds of parts if you find out

Cool cheers spink. Its actually the wire that has failed. I repaired it however its too sensitive so hasnt worked for the switch readings so is way out.

Will look into it and let you know if I struggle to sort it out much longer.

Will ask my GF as I never used my CC the bank cancelled it so now I dont have one. Think its safer for me this way haha
