    Big Issue (s)

Ok, my ABC V6 coupe has a problem list as long as an Elephants trunk, so i'm hoping that you guys can help me out.

    1. Knocking from front end after tracking has been sorted by local garage and new (ebay cheapies) tracking link arms fitted 2 months ago.

    2. Car shakes at idle (it does run very rich but new lambda sensor is sitting in glove box, just awaiting proper tools from dads toolbox)

    3. Needs new belts and water pump.

    4. Needs new rear discs and pads.

    5. She's done 176k miles

Is it worth keeping or should I sell/scrap? I can't afford to spend ££££ on fixing her up, but I can't stand the thought of running about in a french P.O.S the same value as the Audi.

knocking from the front end is probably ARB droplinks, rod ends or could be wishbone bushes. I'd look at the cheap rod ends as the first suspect.
Shuddering idle is probably a vacuum leak, worth replacing all the vacuum lines this costs next to nothing, check the injector plugs and ignition leads too and see if that helps.
Belts & waterpump again not overly expensive, get it done. Don't skimp - buy a new cambelt tensioner these are a weak point on the V6s (don't ask how I know this!)
New discs & pads again cheap & easy, get it done.
176k is nothing, barely run in!

Thanks for the feedback. How easy is it to change the TRE's? I seem them going for dirt cheap on ebay.
