    AA Garage Repair cover

    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has this?

I was on the phone to AA today as i misplaced my membership card, I dont talk to them often, other than when broken down.

It got mentioned in our conversation that they can offer me 'garage cover' in addition to the cover I already have, she took the make/model/mileage of my S2 came back with a price of £89/yr payout of £500.00 per claim, 5 claims per year max, £35.00 excess for me to pay everytime. Any garage of choice providing you have relay cover!

    Covered: Headgasket/coilpack/gearbox/clutch amongst others.

Not covered: Items prone to wear/tear mentioned, Windows/brakes/sunroof/wheels/tyres

Anyone got/used this? Seems a damn good deal and a little 'too good to be true?'

    Please discuss..

I have this through CSMA with Britannia and have made use of it on 3 or 4 occasions over the last 8 years or so for recovery from Bedfordshire to Shropshire.

I have the AA cover. Not used it yet but I do know a few people who have it and have good reports on the claims settlements. I think it's about £7 a month for cover on the Passat TDI.

I have 92K on my car. I'll have to dig out the docs to check any limits. Most of the engineers I work with have interstellar mileage on their cars and I know a few who have the cover.
