New Logbook

I have received a 'NEW' logbook through the post today for my coupe
Apparently Swansea are sending them out to everyone due to theft of a number of blank blue V5C's !

Has this happened to anyone else ?

Old blue ones will no longer be in use by November 2012 so all the more reason to check the details thoroughly if your thinking of buying a car this year !

As far as i know it's genuine, i have recieved one, waiting for my other 3 to come through

My Daughter recently passed her test and brought a used Ka. The garage had a blue V5C when see brought it, but when the new V5C arrived it was a red one, then a week or two later I a received a replacement red one for the S2 with an instruction to destroy the blue one. I checked on the DVLA website and it does advise of this change and warns that if buying then look out for blue V5C that begin with the following numbers - BG8229501 to BG9999030 and BI2305501 to BI2800000

I bought a discovery before xmas and the guy had had a new one come, didn t even get my name on the new one before it went!

I could not bring myself to throw the old ones away, they are tucked behind the new ones in my car folders!
