Nothing to do with faith, afte end of January until now has been below -20C temps.
That ice could carry a lorry.

The "crack" that you see, is just the surface layer. There are many layers, and it is very thick, easily over 40cm at this point in the season.

Going onto the ice after it has been two weeks of freezing in december, now that would be really dangerous.

I used F500LHD upgraded to newest firmware. It has built in time/date function.

I don't think a GoPro would do what I want - this thing automatically starts recording when you plug in the power and automatically stops when power is removed.

              Nice one!!
"nose" of your audi should be kept inner in the the corner when you transfer the weight of your car and power slide to have more fun
How your tires react when you slide and push gas?Is the car sliding and getting to interior of the curve or you loose grip and slide more to outside?

                Depends how slippery it is.
There was one curve towards the end (not the final one, where I spun it for fun in the snow, because I was finishing) where it was really slippery.

That curve... only thing that helped was take it really slow like I did. Otherwise you just hug the wall. More throttle ended up in just going more sideways into the wall.

In places where it was not that slippery, it was easier. You just go hard on the throttle until it starts to pull straight. Most important is not to release throttle when you are sideways a lot, because else you will spin.
I am not a pro at this though, and this was first time for me on ice with RS4

I would like to try metal insert tires. Here are suposed not to be legal and never had them.Maybe something changed..
We try to stay on the road with tall and very soft tires profile(on dry road they are a disaster when breaking but on snow and ice they perform better than autoband speed winter tires)

What is the place you slided designed for?It is a track?

Just a fun track on a frozen lake run by the local guys there.

The studded tires I am using are fully legal here.
The ones Porkkis posted are the ones that are off road use only. With those the grip on ice is probably better than on tarmac. It also destroys ice tracks quite quickly, they get real bumpy.
