Diff Mounts and Gear Box Mounts

Just started the refurb of my '96 Coupe rear sub frame and the diff mounts, not surprisingly, are shot !

Can anyone confirm whether or not the 2 mountings for reacting the torque on the diff are the same as the gear box mounting ?

I have 2 different part numbers suggesting they are not the same but I think I remember reading on here that they are.

I notice GSF are selling the gear box mount for £9, does anyone have experience of the quality of GSF stuff.

    Cheers,

    Martin

On an ABY the diff mounts and gearbox mounts are a slightly different height, the ABY gb mounts are slightly shorter. on a 3B they are the same.
BUT, i have an ABY and i have used the same taller mounts front and rear (034 track density) and it seems to be fine to me. In fact everything seems to line up a little better if anything?

      Thanks for your reply.

So, do you think the shorter mounts would be OK for the diff or would you anticipate problems with that arrangement ?

If you anticipate using the shorter (ABY GBox) mounts all round then you could simply fit a 5mm spacer (like a big washer) on the top of the mounts for the diff?

Ah, OK see what you mean.

In that case, think I might go the OEM route.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
