    Adu Maf Nla

Thought I would flag up that my local Audi dealership has confirmed the RS2 MAF is NLA.

TPS has two left on the system. If anyone is thinking of getting one move it!

So someone taking an RS2 into a dealership with a defective MAF will be told that the car can't be fixed and must be scrapped. Interesting times.

Well it might be still available from Porsche/Bosch!
Another good reason to encourage Dmitri's conversion which whilst not pleasing originality purists, will still allow the vehicles to be used and a ready supply of what is the primary engine sensor!

        What MAF?

This has been on the cards for a while to be honest, isn't the Porsche option still available though?

Yup,maybe just convinced us to get rid off the motronic and go for aftermarket standalone things!!??.I heard so many parts is NLA on this 2012.

This's what i kinda like Merc,BMW even 25 years old cars,I still can get the parts directly from Dealers.

I don't think people are going to install standalone management because of this issue... that costs over 1400 GBP if you include tuning etc.
But this is like really bad...

I will order all the electronics today and will try to make up a prototype next week.
The biggest problem is making it plug and play to the old connector.

There are no female 6 pin JPT connectors available, so I have to get it CNC'd somewhere.

one thing,Can we just get the Bosch p/n and order through the Bosch Co. instead of VAG dealer?the second source I found
is getting the parts from Chinese crap.I found tons of VAG parts from Chinese manufacturers but the quality is horrible.

What about refurbishing existing ones? Might be easier / cheaper as they already have the connector.

Uhm, it's part of the housing.
So no, that's not an option either.

Could you not using the existing housing, connector etc, and replace the wire/electronics as required?

If you get that working, let me know.

I think Sonic is suggesting cannibalising the dead maf for its connector somehow. Once its dead its useless anyway.
Dmitri, is that the issue? The connection between the existing maf harness to the alternative HFM connector?

I know exactly what he is suggesting, and I am saying that this won't work in my opinion.

                              Yup...
I am aiming for my solution to be in the 200 to 250 gbp range...
                              That would include the MAF.
