Spare wheel

A lot of sports cars don't come with a spare (due to lack of space) and are supplied with a can of foam - can't believe recovery companies would pick you up because you didn't have a spare wheel ???? -
i don't carry spare wheel in my Rs2 for simple reason, weight.most of the time when you loose air or damage tyre,it needs to be replace so i just drive on until i get to the next tyre shop.and this does not happen often anyway,so what is the point of carrying a heavy spare wheel that will probably never be used in an emergency situation.
i also gutted the heavy oem twin cat,for single 3" straight sport cat.
deleted the small radiator in front of the car.
now the Rs2 feels alot lighter

I have a spare. I put the correct spare in for which ever set of wheels im running at the time so if I need to put one on I can still be matching. I only have a rubbish scissor jack though. May ivest in a bottle jack but doubt it would fit under the carLeave a comment:

I have the original 15" steel spare but 17" wheels on the car, the difference in circumference is so little that it would be ok if I needed it. I'm planning to change to 18" Porsche wheels so I don't know where that would leave me as I'm not sure whether I could fit a spare in even if I bought one.Leave a comment:

I carry one in the spare wheel hole thingy.. be silly not to and if you don't have one where your vehicle should have had one then breakdown companies wont recover you.Leave a comment:

Spare wheel
Out of interest who carries a spare wheel now as I know a few people don't for various reasons.
I've also heard most breakdown companies won't pick your car up or come out to you if you don't have one in the car.Tags: None
