    Help!!

My 2.6 v6 cuts out whenever i put in the clutch at low revs (i.e doing a U-turn on a hill). This nearly caused me to drive into a level crossing gate as the steering lock came on at the same time. Is this a lack of fuelling problem or something to do with the ignition?

The steering lock?! This shouldnt come on with the key at ignition II. Perhaps you're just not used to losing power steering?

As said, if this is the case it souds like an air leak.

The engine completely shut off and the steering lock really did come on. I even heard it click as I was steering at the same time.

I'd look at the ignition switch then. Very odd
