what is wrong with the one i posted?

Nothing except its missing about 8" of S2 and a 1/4 of Clarksons hair (which he, no doubt, would like to have back about now).

I have the magazine in my hand (so scanning across the two facing pages was easy).

Superb stuff, just so long as he doesn't buy three and rag them to death around some welsh wood in the name of entertainment.... You say you told him about this forum too... So he could read my post...

I actually think that would make for a very entertaining episode of Top Gear. Each of the idiots should be given three grand and made to buy and 'modify' a ratty 3B, they could each be assigned an I5 Turbo geek to help them. Perhaps from here, perhaps not

Then have them perform various challenges of the nature we're used to on the show. Maybe a race round a Welsh wood followed by an economy run to Knockhill where they have a couple of hours to set the fasted lap time. I'm quite sure they could come up with some sort of ludicrous scoring system regarding reliability, speed, crashes etc that mean James would win.

As long as the cars weren't just scrapped afterwards I wouldn't have a problem with it, they could easily be sold off for spares cars. Lets face it, at least Three 3B's appear every year on eBay that really shouldn't be on the road or in the hands of the seller.

Congratulation on meeting the chap. As mentioned his books are hilarious, keep a couple by my bog.

Can you imagine if he went for a 400bhp 'straight out the side' exhaust option with a scream pipe, (similar, but turbo version to the Jag in India), then took it through some sleepy villages... Mays one could be a 2ltr with an S2 badge and Hammond could have a pearl white one to match his teeth.

Considering the amount of 'enthusiast' forums out there I'm surprised they haven't created a section of the show that caters for this. It would be a good way of offering something new, not sure what the theme would be but I'm sure with a little research they could come up with something entertaining. It would certainly give all the wags less to moan about! I was very close to suggesting a feature to him that I think would be brilliant - 'General Member of The Public in a F*****g Expensive Car!'.

i think he is a legend......only one thing bugs me though,and that is everytime he mentions audis its always about "old audi's had terrible understeer from the engine being too far forward ....blah blah blah..."
