Have a look at the last page in the thread #62, and see it in "action”.

      Some comeback.

Well I am an aircooled head.... and having worked for the magazine for a number of years I can see what this guy is doing and really appreciate the efforts he has put in. I love the idea of being in an old rust bucket, pulling up to the lights and having a bling rice burner or the likes pull up next to you and then either smoking them or giving them a heck of a go and seeing the look of surprise on the other persons face. its kinda like having an S2 avant and surprising the hell out of the new Porsche owner who you have just beaten or kept up with. Makes me smile every time (not that I drive like that Mr Officer)

My first inclination would be to restore it to like new condition, which is where I thought he was going when I first started reading the thread. I was very surprised to see that he left the van in rough condition. I do however like the idea of leaving it in a worn and used look also. It's a bit of rolling history like that. Cool that he left the original logos from the old company on too.

Its all the rage over here at the moment. people are paying for full restos on rust buckets and then instead of finishing with brand new shiny paint they are getting the painters to paint it in mock old paint, rubbing it back to give it a bleached from the sun look and stencilling on old fashioned company logos and then giving it all the stressed OG look. I have seen a fair few attempts that I just couldnt stop laughing at I can tell you!
