    Oil cooler mounting for MOT

Quick question... I've put an oil cooler in place of the aux rad but its yet to be securely located and bolted down. It's currently held in by zipties and the braided lines.

Would this be an mot failure?

no should be ok if its secure, mine is in there with 1 zip ty and 3 brackets....problem with putting it there is,on cold start up the oil pressure takes its time as it has to refill the cooler

On cold start no oil would be going to the cooler, only when it gets to temp will the thermostat open and direct oil to the cooler

          As Jamo said.

You shouldn't have a oil cooler plumbed in with out a thermostat other wise your motor will never get warm
