    Vagcom!

Fool proof, good connectivity/communication, easy to use and it works!

Ive got a VAG 10.6 Lead inc 2x1 adaptor i used to use on my S2 before I sold it it works on a host of cars inc passat golf various audis.

I was thinking of putting it up for sale now ive sold my S2.. Let me know if its something what your looking to buy!

Vagcom all day long,I get a couple of local garages call me now and again saying 'we can't do xyz on our £8000 snap on/bosch kts so can you try?',so far vagcom has never failed to do what their kit can't.Worth the £300 all day long for the full setup, although there isn't many people who pay for it which is a shame

I reccomend Vag-com, dont have it myself but have had loads done with my Body/interior/key codes etc by a chap i know at AMD,

i have a bosch KTS670 but at 10k+ may be a bit overkill, does have all wiring diagrams and part fitting instructions

Hmm.. counting blinks from a pair of wires, resistor and a LED is sort of an outdated procedure when a Vagcom 409 cable can be had for one (1) British Pound:
(Snipped from my previous post on the theme):
The 409 type cables are all that is needed on the B4 cars. I also have a genuine cable for the B6 as the copy cables will only do the basic stuff on these.
The 409 type cables are so astonishingly cheap that everyone should own at least one. They cost £1 and the total comes to less than £5 including shipping from HK. I have no idea how they manage to make money on these things.

Here is a link (I haven't tested this one): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-cable-...item416358bd83

For B4, the 2x2 adapter is needed: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X2-OBD2-O...item2306dad191

BTW, I also highly recommend the following code reader. I have tested this one, and I have one of these in all my cars, as I don't always haul my laptop and Vagcom cable around. The code reader is super handy if the car starts acting up out on the road: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAG-305-OB...item1e6ee2936d
