Not seen one but I'm sure it would work quite well, as it's the same chassis as the saloon, which was modified for various racing series around Europe. Structural rigidity might take a little work at the rear (to get it as good as the saloon) but other than that, it would be pretty damned cool.

1994 ABY Coupe - Projekt Alpinweiss
Pro's better handling due to rear end suspension. Con's heavier than Coupe but if stripped out then wouldnt be a factor, not as aerodynamic but then not really a factor if car is done right.
i had considered an avant for my project. but this body will create a vacuum behind.
due to the different air pressure created by the shape the with enough power anything is possible but upon my limited knowledge i would suggest finding away to duct into the void
by putting rad in the back and ducting down from roof this is an asuption based on limited knowledge so others please help if i am wrong.
saloon is the better option IMHO - lighter and stiffer with better aero.
I'm sure that was Audi Sport's thinking too which is why the avant never got a look in.
they switched to the saloon as it was a better balanced car etc,the drivers used to moan like hell about the estate(once the saloon released) saying they were at a disadvantage.
my guilty pleasure is watching old skool supertouring everyday
