Cars covered in pollen or sand this morning?

My cab was spotless yesterday after a wash and 3 days of rain, but this morning it looks like an upturned mirror in Lindsay Lohan's house:

Has anyone else woken up to a layer of a sandy substance all over your motors?

            Saharan dust/sand

EssexWeather.com yesterday confirmed that there was Saharan dust/sand in the rain. Apparently lots of ppl had been reporting the same phenomenon.

Must have been a few tonnes worth of cr@p in the clouds to cover pretty much the whole country in a fine layer of crud...

                            Good to know.

Haven't even driven the S2 or the cab since I washed them, thought the S2 would have escaped all the sand being under cover but it's just covered in cat foot prints instead!!

Hadn't washed either car for some time due to the hose pipe ban, now I remember why I rarely bother!!
