Back in 1995/96 my uncle had a brand new S2 coupe as a company car which he used to let me drive. I think this is what sparked the family interest in the car. My uncle is sadly no longer with us, but I'm interested in trying to trace the car ( if it still exists ) and seeing how it's faired over the years. The car had a private plate on from day 1, is there any way I can find out what plate was put on it when he sold it?

The car was based in Newark, it was a silver ABY coupe, black leather, air con and carbon trim, that's about all I can remember. The plate stayed with my uncle for his next car, but then got lost in his estate when he died. I've been trying for ages to buy it back from the DVLA but with no luck
