Rebuilding an RS2 turbo, help needed.

I have got an RS2 turbo that puffs some blue smoke on idle and i guess it wouldn´t suffer from a rebuild. would this kit work? http://www.turborebuild.co.uk/p/prod...+RACE+Bearing/ What´s the going rate for a rebuild in the UK?

I don't think you can use that kit for a kkk7200 I had mine reconditioned at CR turbos and
they had to source a new central core in order to do it.
Its exspensive around £650, but there service was first class, door to door and quick.

        Fish,
Following ebay article was used for my RS2 turbo refurbishment. I’ve done this part by myself. Then I sent turbo for balancing which is very important thing to do. Result is not known yet, because I’m working on cylinder head refurbishment.

Thanks mate! Did everything look the same as the original stuff and fit as it should? I am doing this part myself also.

Is the core different in a 7200 than a 7000?

Yes has a larger shaft from memory. I "think" it shares more parts with a K26 than a K24.

                  Fish,
I there are some differences. I have to find list of all parts used in K24-7200.
Best and cheapest option is to write an email to internet shop.

But the kit you put in your link is correct? Will that kit fit my turbo? Did the kit you got fit in your turbo without modifications?

Link, that I sent you yesterday is correct for KKK24-7200 turbo.

S2 (KKK24-7000) and RS2 (KKK24-7200) are not the same, at least shaft is different. That was the main massage I would like to mention.
