I know... A few people know about some of my other projects... a 1972 beetle with the body off the pan currently in another of my garages... a 1969 beetle all road legal but in need of a tune up and if I wanted a respray... a Vw T4 van which is being used but could do with some upgrades in the looks and interior department... And the house which needs gutting and decorating... New kitchen and bathroom needed. Lets see which happens first? I bet if the Mrs has her way, once the audi is sorted it wont be any of the other cars I have!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a cost and where to get ARP head bolts from? And also does anyone know the cost of normal headbolts and how many i would need? (In case you couldnt tell, im not a mechanic and im getting the items from a list that my mechanic mate has told me to go and get. He is an absolute genious with cars!)

Cheers, thing is I know the s2 isn't expensive... Compared to a beetle, and I know a house will be worse than a beetle haha

this is common on 2.2 20v heads and most other performance stuff ive come across.

there are products you can buy to help prevent this while building the head back up, if the head is still pitted after it is skimmed

What would you use? I have heard of people using copper spray on gaskets to improve seal?
