    Flat battery

So as the head gasket has gone on the s2 I haven't used it for about 3 weeks. Went out to move it last night and the battery was flat. I fitted a new battery in April this year. Question is does this sound normal or is it likely I have a drain somewhere? It's Ok if I leave it a week usually. I'm just used to leaving my van and beetle for months on end without being used and they still always start. Lol!

Oh and I now nearly have everything I need to do the head gasket and items around it- bloomin expensive!!!

Mine will go flat in 10 days to 2 weeks if left locked and alarmed. I would slow charge the battery and it should be okay. You don't want to completely discharge it too many times, that is how I destroyed my last battery in just 3 years....

When you say flat, have you had a voltmeter on it?
Discharged is <12.2 If it's above this and drops under 9v when cranking then battery has high internal resistance (ohms law and all that!)
I would guess at drain of about 0.03 amp max.
I've left my coupe alarmed for about 4 weeks and still started ok.
As said charge it up and see how it goes.
