Jaysus! That's a big one!

Just goes to show how a properly built car and a bit of luck can see a positive outcome. Back in the good old days of Group B, this would have resulted in a big firey mess. That said, the drivers still need to respect the limits of the road and car, as there are still serious outcomes, even with the levels of protection demonstrated in the video - that's where the luck part comes in.Cheers'en, AndyC

You gotta know, the whole time that car was rolling they were saying "F*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck,...f*ck, f*ck" all the time wondering WHEN? IF? it was EVAR going to stop. When it did stop, I bet they were Sooooo relieved that they, well, relieved.

Does not look that bad after that crash... i would naturally add more bracing if it was my cage...Comment

2 times minim it crashes violent on the roof. The cocpit sustains life.Good rollcage. That is why i am so afraid to get tho rollcage in my car as the homologated one in the '80s.It must have "x" on roof, dors,in the main rollbar arch.It needs to have roof reinforcements.
Pff...

Definitely !!! I will be getting a cage for my typ85 in the near future and wouldn't get anything less than a FIA spec + extra tie in diagonals on the roof and either front doors, providing an extra 3 'X's. The first time you say to yourself "I should have got a better cage" you will probably be dying.2 times minim it crashes violent on the roof. The cocpit sustains life.Good rollcage. That is why i am so afraid to get tho rollcage in my car as the homologated one in the '80s.It must have "x" on roof, dors,in the main rollbar arch.It needs to have roof reinforcements.

Some say they need rollcage for homologation only. Some say that the rollcage in the 80s is enough, because they would not be at limit driving.Well in that case it was enough to get the car on roof, the hill accentuated drama. Is anyone here afraid to get into a convertible?I am,i always have been.Definitely !!! The driver of this one was a V. Ivanitski (probably related to Savannah Ivanitksi (nee Rickli) of the "S2" at Pike Peak thread.

Yep, I was considering today that I should talk Val into putting the V8 from his B5 into a B4
