    Hello!

My name is Alex, I've been a bmw fan mostly although i owned an A4 1.8, a cabriolet 2.6 and A4 convertible 2.5 tdi with the dodgy multitronic and many other japanese and german cars.
I am considering buying an S2 coupe after selling my Atlantis Blue E36 M3.
I was sondering if there is anyone around hampshire uk kind enough to show me an S2 and take me for a short drive to see what is like.
would £7k buy a proper one?I will also be looking on the website for advices and
I have always had a soft spot for them after reading a couple of online reviews and youtube videos.
    Thank you

£7k should buy you a very well sorted example as s2 prices dropped recently, but i very much doubt they'll drop much more (more likely go up as the rarity increases).

Were a pretty freindly bunch on here so im sure someone local to you will post up and offer you the walkround/ ride.

All the best on your search.

If you have £7k to spend, you can pretty much choose any car. Trouble is, it might take a while to find a a good one worth that money that someone is willing to sell.

Good luck with your search. They are amazing cars. Only had mine a short time but i'm in love with it. If you can afford fuel/maintenance, it hasn't really any faults and makes you smile over and over again.

I recently bought a 96 S2 Coupe for £6500. A really good example though needing one or two minor issues fixed such as a new radiator, condenser, bit of ac pipe work done. Overall though no real problems .

£7k should get you a fine example.

This is my car in case someone with an S2 local to me wants to have a look and swap useful experiences and tips about these 2 cars.
I really like my M3 but I also like to try different cars, hence the S2.
Maybe Someone would be interested in a px?

Thank you for your welcome messages.I will keep and eye on the "For Sale" section.
Apart from ebay, autotrader and Pistonheads is there anywhere else I can spot the "minters"?

They are generally the best places to keep an eye out. If you would consider a 'slipper wagon' avant Jamo's is up for sale and would be a great project to finish off

I would only have it as a coupe otherwise the RS2 as an avant.
I have to read up so much on all these info like ABY, rs2 engine compared to S2 engine.
The more I read the more I want an S2. If the e36coupe would find out I would be a dead man )
