    Coilpack Conversion Loom/Harness prices sorted!

Right then, been chasing a very very good wiring loom builder for prices of QUALITY wiring looms for plug and play 1.8/2.0/2.5/V8 coilpack update conversions for our ABY/AAN/ADU engines.

the loom prices are as follows:
Single looms are £180 each + post (anywhere in world is fine)
group buy of 10 looms (as requested) £140 + post (anywhere in world)

if you remember i also did a LOT of price scratching for coilpacks, and can get most of the suitable and common coils for about £20+vat each for GENUINE items (if 10 sets are purchased)

i am not making any profit and just helping everyone out that would like this, postage included, i will be taking my own time to package everything, take to the couriers and help you out

let me know if you would like a loom, coilpacks or loom and coilpacks.

    thankyou

    regards Sean

i did not get one made as i took my A4 off the road for substantial changes

i will try to get some pics of the Cosworth looms Mark has done.

heres his site, not great but a slight insight.

I'm interested some coil packs for my ABY. Forgive me for asking but can you give further details on what you can provide with pictures?

im a bit lost by your question John,

are you interested in standard ABY coilpacks (if so i cannot help im afraid)

if your interested in a group buy to be one of to people to buy 5 coilpacks (group buy of 10 people will make 50 coilpacks)

and a conversion wiring harness that will look similar to this when plugged into the coilpacks

Yup that looks like it. Anything i need to do or are these guys plug & play?

I'm guessing that the coil cover will have to either go or have spacers to allow for heat dissipation

Could a 7a rocker cover be used?

Done properly, such a harness is plug and play. Running the "20v turbo" coil pack cover over the 1.8t (etc) style coil packs will kill them quickly due to heat (they hate heat, either from internal (dwell issue) or external (from engine heat)).

Guess that means no cover and mine's just been cleaned and lacquered

Let me have a think about this....they look great and from what I have read, they can transform an engine back to what it's designed to do.

As Dave (The Gaffer ) says,

recommended not use the coilpack cover, but people do space them to have the raised about 8 to 10mm

Poor-boy, yes a 7a cover can be used, aswell as the 3b cover

If you really want updated coils and the shiny coil cover, you can run LS2 coils from EFI Express and run the spark plug wires under the cover.

This has been discussed extensively recently. The older shorter coils require that the 7A spark plug wire holes be opened up or the coils and their rubber sealing rings be trimmed extensively. The taller later coils packs seem to work without any such trimming.

Iam quite interested.. Would the coils be a direct fit into the 7a cam cover or require trimming?
