We also had our yearly pilgrimage to Mondello Park to see these guys. The finals were always mental when everybody cranked the boost up for the final runs and were running silly power. As a friend of my dads said, he could dial up anything from a season to 20 minutes
Our standing spot was just after the turn onto the back straight, the noise of them power sliding past on full throttle will always stay with me

Those 6R4's make me laugh, those short wheel based cars seem to be pretty unstable under hard braking watching that start.
Theydo host an annual ERC race here, and so is Pat Doran which still ownes a RS200.
By introducing the 45mm restictor the FIA tries to keep the numbers down, still reaching 850Nm but making the airflow restricting max hp to around 575hp.
The action stays as rough, only the cars change.
The current day sounds of the surge/barking on tip off is insane, next to the continious screaming Avon tires...

I think about 50% of the crowd comes for the crashes. At least the people i meet there do not care about the technique, they just want to see the action
