    ESP shut off A4 1,8Tq 2004

Going to look at a 200f B6 A4 1,8T quattro tomorrow as a new daily driver. It has ESP and i want to know before i go a 300 mile roundtrip if this can be shut off? As i live in Sweden i refuse to buy a car that this is not possible on and the guy selling it doesent know if it shuts off entirly. (He is not a car guy buy the sounds of it)

    Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure, I know on the old 3 series that you had the option of shutting it off and it would indeed shut off completely, the problem with esp is that it interferes constantly

ah, not completely disabling the ESP then, pressing the button on the dash should cancel out any "traction control" if thats what you are after?

plenty info online about B6 ESP/traction control

Yep, can be fully turned off AFAIK.
Only EDL will be active, but that is not a bad thing.

Well, i don´t care really what is on and what is off... As long as i can drift it on the lake come wintertime i am happy... The reason i want the ABS to still work is for when i am out on the streets and feel like the occasional drift there
