    correct way to swb??

i have seen i few methods of making a type 85 into swb,but which is correct????

method 1.cut the rear seat area out and make it shorter

method 2.cut the rear floor section out

i have been informed that the works cars had method 2?????

      Method 2 is incorrect.

The rear seat base is the shortened piece.

That's why the sport quattro rear seat is narrow.

i have a full collection of the build in the 2nd pic,a mate did it a few years ago,(stil is doing it)
he told me he went to david suttons and copyed a real swb car...

it makes for a very tidy job i thought, but reduces the space for your seat, legs

How is he going to get a seat in there? Looks very tidy but its not going to work.

Both road and rally cars had the short rear seat section.

If he just removes the floor section he will not be able to slide his seat back and only a dwarf will be able to drive it.
