well managed to write my s2 aby coupe off the other morning anyone got any idea what the glass price would be on a aby coupe in kingfisher blue with 118000 in good condition just when i spoke to my insurance they said it nothing like what i payed for the car

its fairly heavy on the front so might not be able to just depends what cat they put on it. going to try to if they will let me

When I did the front of mine I fixed it straight away... Was the front bumper, foglights, indicator, headlight, Number plate and the crossmember... Luckily the Aux rad and intercooler and wing and bonnet were fine! No marks left ont he car after replacing all the stuff and nothing added to the cars history either Its worth a go mate....

They will try and write it off based on book price but these cars are appreciating assets.
Fight as much as you can!

Btw - about 6 years ago I had one rear ended pretty bad. They offered me book price at £1500. I had it 5 weeks and paid £5000 for it with a 1year warranty still on it

They will see the light but you have to show them. Get as many good examples of what they are worth IF you can find any for sale.

Find examples of how much they are typically selling for, use this as evidence to support your desired value. Stake your claim early for salvage retention but bare in mind that the buy back price may increase if you are pushing for a higher payout than offered. Also, you may not be able to buy back as it will depend on the category of write off and the insurer.

thanks its good to hear i will hopefully be able to get something like what i expect. sadly its beyond repair guys . theres plently of nice examples all around the price im after so fingers crossed that will help prove my point of what its actually worth

Well what can I say, I am totally totally gutted.

Spent over 7 long years with her and she is no more, that's a great pity !
The love and attention afforded to her was at the detriment of the wife and kids.
Kids loved that car too, dare not tell them.

Later in life when the kids are up and gone (when money comes available !) I intend to buy another.
1 less car around now, fine example too.

Looks like you did not go for the agreed valuation, like I did with Chris Knott every year.
I never needed it but at only £30 or so, would have been worth every single penny to you.
