    Think my car hates me

So I get in the car to come home from work and with the rain today it has leaked and I have got a wet bum! It's an avant! Shouldn't be like the coupe gold fish bowls.

I thought I fixed all leaks last Xmas. This car has really annoyed me since June and it doesn't seem to be giving me a break any time soon!!!! Sodding, sodding car! I love it mostly though

Very likely one of your four sunroof drains are clogged and need cleaning (weed wacker plastic "string", speedometer cable, etc). Your car doesn't do maintenance on itself, it *RELIES* on you to do it. You have let it down.

Haha yeh I did that a few times before so I know what I gotta do bud. Believe me, I maintain it with things when it's not even broke... I just seem to have been constantly maintaining it this summer lol. Oh well. Tomorrow looks like a day with garden string stuff and a jug of water hahaha. Previously it was the sunroof tray thing at the back of the opening had come undone. Checked it quickly just now and it appears to be in place so will give it all a proper look tomorrow in the day light.

      I was just venting...

Hey, for all its faults, my coupe is pretty dry...

Well, except the boot. Let's not talk about the boot.

The boots are supposed to leak mate, thats why they have a drain valve in the bottom of the shell on the right hand side

I'd drop the roof lining, which isn't that difficult, and wash the roof and you'll see where it's leaking from, that's what I did with mine because the previous owner must of whispered that the car leaked when it rained, on mine it was some sort of pipe which had minor rust on it so I cleaned it and used windscreen adhesive to seal it up. Two and a half years later still bone dry, prior to this the front carpets and a post trims were getting wet

Yeh I may do that kulster. Mind you I fixed it before so I'm sure I can do it again without removing the headliner. I think it's either the drip tray at the back has become dispodged again or the drain tubes are blocked due to having been sat all summer whilst I had the engine in pieces. Hope I can solve it tomorrow as I'm not looking forward to a winter of wet arm, bum and carpet again!!!

Glad you liked that. I'll be here until Thursday. Please remember to tip your waitress.

In the meantime, think about adopting this AAN preventative maintenance list to your ABY or 3B:

My feet splashed when I got in mine today I kid you not.

Seriously considering leaving the windows wide open at nights to see if it'll let less water in.

Thing is, I bet all you boys are coupe owners? This is avant... I would expect it from the coupes lol. Wish it would stop raining so I could open the sunroof to get some wire down the drains and inspect the rest of the area...

Didn't realise there were drain channels at the back of the sunroof either lol.
