To the people who spend £100k on a watch, its marginal cost is lower. We measure cost in terms of what we have to give up; for most of us we'd have to give up half a house or a few cars.

But if you've already got a ten houses and five cars, you're not likely to get much more pleasure from an eleventh house*. So you're giving up less for something of the same cash price.

          Also: price snobbery.

*although some here might argue that there's no limit on how many cars one might want!

I have a 'Raymond Weil'. It's quite understated but beautiful. Not big budget either.

Admitting it is the first step.

Anyway, it's not like there aren't worse addictions.

I was going to get an Omega, but I'd hardly ever wear it as it would get damaged at work too easily, so I ordered a really nice G-Shock yesterday instead which I'll be able to wear all the time.
Got £100 off it in the sales too
