    Overseas shipping woes

So I purchased an item from a member on here back in November (November 14th to be exact). I have yet to receive the item and it appears that the item hasn't been shipped yet due to some snags with the courier or so he says. I've bought many things from overseas before most without issue. How long would you wait before filing a claim with Paypal? I'm trying to be understanding and try to keep communicating with the seller without hassling him. The item is fairly expensive so I don't want to get ripped off.

How big was the item? there are a few members on here who can get good prices shipping.

I think you missed the paypal cut-off by 3 days unfortunately. I think its 3 months or something very close to that.

Umm...two months is more than long enough. Who is the "gentleman" in question? Hopefully it isn't the fellow from Italy that many people have had problems with.

Its only been two months. Acidburn seems to know the guy and he says he is genuine so I will try and be patient for a while longer.

As above - The forum member in question has dealt with a lot of members over the years and is known by a lot of people on here from moderators etc so will sort this out and it should be resolved asap.

Fingers crossed for you but going off my own previous experience it is almost impossible to ship bumpers I looked into it many times to send a bumper to Canada costs £200 and that is if you can find a courier to do it as most refuse to carry them,I guess due to any comebacks with damage etc

Dhl I believe are the only ones who will do it

With the cars I have broken on here I have been asked on a weekly basis to get quotes to send bumpers to USA and canada

I have sent two bumpers on two separate occasions to Canada with no issues. It took 5 working days and they got there in the same condition i sent them in. £160 each to send Tried to send one to USA and all sorts of issues kept popping up a company called Trans-global sent it in the end.

which company agreed to ship them for u for 160 ? it look like most of the postal companies have restrection at size of the international mail that the lenght wont be more then 120 cm or 150 or total of 300 cm for l*h*w , the only one find to ship from slovenia to germany and cheapest is ups for 165 euro.
