Fun in the Snow !

We had our first bit of snow today in Bristol.
Drove into work to find the place half deserted ! I encountered several hills and descents on the way (that's Bristol for you) and I'm pleased to say the quattro perfomed faultlessly

Stayed a few hours at work and thought sod this I'm off ! On the way back home the police had put traffic cones down to block off some of the roads leading to where I live.

Felt really epic when I came across lots of cars slithering around trying to get up a hill that should have been closed and I just pulled round them and carried on

Just after the snow started

took the S2 out to drop the kids off at School Not sure what the school was thinking, as they will throw the towel in at lunchtime. Had a couple of diff lock testing activity on the hills. The old girl is very sure footed, even with T1R's, but its the other numpties that worry me, already had an Autoglass van come slithering towards it. So tucked it up behind the gates and going to pinch the Land Rover. Snowing really well here now, with a couple of inches down.

I'm desperate to take mine out for some fun, prob is a 1 in 3 hill, with T junction at the bottom, that I would have to get back up, and there is No Way I'm gonna abandon her at the bottom of the hill with all the Numpties- just asking to get hit/done over

Fortunately, I live at the top of the hill.

Unfortunately, my day job involves towing a catering trailer. No way I'm going down the hill with that on the back and limited grip...

Not too bad. It's not deep. Main roads are probably clear. It's just the side roads that are currently in the 'compacted and shiny' stage, which is often worse than fresh snow.

Well, kids are back home as predicted... Took the Land Rover this time.



Again, quite a hill to the school and some plank in a VW van with 18" TT alloys slithering down it sideways...
