    Soundbar systems?

Anyone got any experience with these types of systems, thinking of getting one just wondered what they might be like.

I've seen a few and they're ok but you'll need to spend a fair bit of money to get a really decent one. Much better than the TV speakers but a world away from a good home cinema setup.

I got a Samsung one from Costco for £300 and for the dosh it quite good plus the remote links to the TV for it. It's also has a USB, BT, HDMI x2 and its wireless to the sound bar from the sub. Overall I'm happy with it, as the Samsung TV speaker are crap.
Just some finishing touches to do now

I have a samsung one - cant remember the model number, about £200 from currys the bar splits in two so you can put the speakers standing up either side of the TV. sound brilliant, def not as good a full surround but as said much improved on tv speakers

(Time to yawn) Yamaha were the original company who bought the license from the guy that invented this over 15 years ago - an ex-submarine sonar design guy who's life evolved around (of course) pinpointing something in a space .... he turned this knowledge on it's head and designed it so that he could make something (a noise) appear somewhere in a space.
