    Oz racing alleggerita

Does anyone know if there is room for Oz racing alleggerita 9x17 on a Audi S2 coupe.

The car is fitted with a kw1 suspension.

    What Et if so ?

    Cheers Jesper

Bit wide for the front... A few are running 8.5s with an offset of 30-32 IIRC.

On an 8J with ET35, there's sufficient space between the tyre and steering arm, maybe 5-10mm with a 225 tyre.

With the arches rolled out a bit, you may get away with something in the ET25 range but with a 245 tyre, it's going to be tight.

Are these second hand? Hellishly expensive wheels new!

      Thanks

Maybe I should buy 8.5 I do not think I dare buy 9 if they dont fit the car

Do you have any experience with different size wheels front and rear

      They are not second hand

My ETA BETA wheels are 9.5"x18 rear and 8"x18 front. But then the offsets are different though I never really quite understood how the ET in it all works

          New Awesome wheels. What colour?

Some have run 8.5 front, 9.5 rear but you're just adding to the understeer with wider rear tyres.

I personally run 17x8J ET35 Superleggera with 225/45R17 rubber and they fill the arches nicely. I'd consider running 5mm spacers at the rear, to make the stance a little better and would also consider up to an ET30 all round to minimise arch overhang.

I think the widest I'd go is 8.5J ET32 but 225 rubber can look a little stretched on them, 235s are expensive and 245s are getting quite wide up front.

A lot of people run 8J ET35 with 225 tyres for a reason: they fit and look good at the same time!

Check out Error404, newsh for 8.5J ET32 wheels. There are loads more but I can't think of them.

Very simple. Offset (ET) is the distance from the centreline of the wheel to the hub mounting face. Positive ET = hub is outside centre, negative ET = hub is inside.

These must be one of the lightest mainstream wheels? They're even lighter the Enkei RPF1s.

I think I got it, many have tried to explain to me but failed . So an ET 49 for example at the front might not give so much clearance to the steering arms but an ET25 might then be tight with the fender?

One of the things I never could wrap my head round

Think TITANIUM TECH is the right think to the car .

I will go for 8.5x17 with 225 rubber Meaby 8.5x18 what will you buy?

                  I will check him out

17s ride better and are a little lighter but 18s look better... I'd get 17s but 18s do look nice.

I really need a pair of 17s, I bet they ride much better. RS2s would be perfect. Hate the roads here

Alleggerita's are one of my favourite wheels of all time. We will of course need pictures

I have 8.5 x 18 ET35s on my coupe but i run a 3mm spacer up front making ET32 as Rusty said - ET32 is needed in order to clear the steering arm with 245 35s. 225s or 235s might fit (just) without the spacer but would depend on the tyre I think.

You could run 9s with 245s about ET29 but you will need to roll the front arches.

                            For my money on a road car I'd buy 8.5 x 18 ET32. For track I'd buy 8 x 17 ET35
