Family estate recommendations

Another rugrat due in may and sadly one of the family cars has got to go-not the S2 though
Looking for some info on what would be a good buy in the estate world.Don't really need a diesel but am willing to give one a go.Quite tempted to stay in the vw/audi family.
Please DO NOT suggest any type of mpv's,can't stand the sodding things.
Has to be a few years old,max price around £6000

A6 2.7 tdi or 3.0 tdi estate, best choice for you.My point of view of course

what would the road tax be on one of those?

270 quid a year for 3.0 tdi and for 2.7 tdi from 06 onwards 215 quid

My urs4 fits 3kids in the back, more if you fold them up!
I did like my v70 t5 but parts expensive

For that money, you will find a decent low mileage A4/6 Avant Quattro TDi. I have been looking at them recently to replace my ageing daily and there seem to be some good motors about for not too much money. Best of all worlds I reckon, 4WD, diesel economy and torque with hardwearing Audi build quality. Good luck with the hunt.

Thinking that 4wd would be useful.The avant was once again awesome in the snow with the nokians on.And the wife will no doubt chuck some hay in it for the livestock we have

skoda vr?, the latest Seat audi clone (cant remember model name). both v.good and packed with spec......if the badge on the bonnet is not an issue.

Hello Mr.Bertie, what MORE children good god man you cant help yourself can you Ive got a couple of family wagons for sale at the mo...although the one thats not an mpv is out of budget by quite a bit im afraid ...but as you know with Uncle Als easy finance plan you could be driving it away today
