rs2 exhaust cam shaft versus 7a exhaust cam

JP ran 2x 7a exhaust cams, modded i think and gained 150 bhp in the midrange if im not mistaken!

PM him but im sure he said these were the best setup he had used for huge gains upto 8000rpm

I don't think he did gain 150hp with just a slight Modding of camshafts. The reason behind the modding of the 7a timing was to get them to spool faster while maintaining better performance on the higher revs.

If you don't want faffing around with adjustable cams then the best overall setup is adu cams and wheel.

Reclocking the 7A's didn't do much for the peak 10-12hp. But midrange jumped up 150hp at 4000rpm from improved overlap characteristics over unclocked setup.

Characteristics are the same as the hydraulic catcams turbo cams.

how hard was it to mod the cam? just removing the gear for the dizzy or more to it?

I see. My mistake then. Didn't remember correctly. However although this test shows what reclocking the 7a cams can do its not a true comparison between them and adu ones
