    Colour coding?

OK getting the car sorted in the body shop over next few weeks the question is do I leave the door strips and sills black or colour code them ? no idea how to do a poll maybe one of you whizz kids can sort that.

Until recently, I would say it absolutely has to be black as it was meant to be. However, a lovely silver coupe recently posted with colour coded skirts and bumpers etc made me think otherwise. I think it depends on the colour. No chance I would do it to Emerald Green for example nor with Pelican Blue or Red. Gotta be personal preference but how do you know until its done. Eeek!

Was thinking about the door strips not taking kindly to being painted and starting to peel after a while?

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I would say that The Audi designers probably thought long and hard about the colour of the sills and door trims and their proportions to the profile of the car so I wouldn't change them

They look OK on an avant.

On a coupe though they look wrong IMHO, they make the car look too fat in the middle.
