    Electrical plug supplier

I'm looking for a supplier of the plugs & pins for making up a cam hall sensor. VAG sell them but at ~£15 for the plug & 3 wires, it seems a little steep to me. Just seeing if there is a supplier that I can use to save a few £.

    I get mine from VWP.
Unless it's oddball, like the 3B POS plugs.

Do I need 0.5 or 0.75 cable? I've measured the stuff on the hall sender and it's 1.55mm OD.

if you've got the wiring diagram handy, it tells you on there what size the wiring is.

Wire diameters are spec'd as the WIRE diameter not the wire plus the insulation which you are measuring at 1.55 mm OD.

If you really want to go cheap, find a used Golf/Jetta/Bora III three pin O2 sensor and splice the cam sensor wires on to the three pin connector.

You what The wire is not 0.5mm diameter

Metric wire diameters are specified as the cross sectional area of the conductor - in this case 0.5mm^2, resulting in a wire OD of ~1.5mm with some thin insulation.

Wire on the car measures 1.5mm OD, the same as that on the sensor.

EFI Express sells all the Junior timer plugs would need for an LS2 or 2.0TFSI conversion so Marc has the 3 pin plugs too. Try him.
