  • Simon McKinley The White Escort Irish Hillclimb....

The Mrs is watchin Soaps, Again, so I'm on Youtube, and this popped up.
Considering its naturally aspirated, and rwd- this guy is sooooo exciting to watch.
Obviously 2nd place to an I5, but a screaming BDA still sounds good.

Copy and pasted it and I have to agree, he's either brilliant or nuts! Looks like a right handful but great to watch. The front end is planted but the rear is all over the place. He's not Jenson button smooth but he definitely knows how to keep it out of the shrubs!

              RS2000's, 2300HSR's, Manta's, Tiger's, etc?
Not quattro fast, but good fun.

Thats proper old school rallying, as they say a well setup car is incapable of driving in a straight line, you use the nervousness to help change direction. That guy can certainly make it dance.

Watching those has made me want a MK2 Escort again, never owned one, but before buying the UR I was looking at a lot of them. The rust and over the top prices put me off though, so I took the plunge and bought the quattro!
