HDMI link problem

Any tech heads help with this?

Recently added Yamaha sound projector to my TV, got 5m HDMI cables for DVD player and BT vision box.DVD player works fine crisp picture nice sound, BT vision box having problem with sound so linking with optical cable seems fine. Picture has tiny white pixels flashing all over screen randomly only notice this on dark backgrounds

Thinking quality of cable may be a problem at this length?

Any ideas?

Seen similar before with noise on black backrounds, quality of cable was the issue. Apparently some cheap cables dont connect all the earth pins which can cause weird issues.

Was thinking the same just don't want to spend a lot on a new cable for it not to sort it out

Try one of the amazon basics as they are nice quality and cheap. I've bought the hdmi to dvi cable and it works perfectly where others were noisy.

Just reading the above, are you saying both devices have the same cable, but one works fine with it?

It's defo the cable been swapping them about one is naff, getting a replacement job done cheers for your help
