    Things we put up with......

Well, it's been an eventful 36 hours with the Coupe. I don't think there are many cars I've owned that have kept me on my toes so much.

The drivers side electric window hasn't worked for a month or so, however I still always click the switch to see if it will miraculously come to life. Well, yesterday it did........whilst it was hammering it down with rain. This would have been fine but for one thing........yep, you've guessed it, the window wouldn't go back up!!! Suffice to say there were a few choice words used, especially when the wife offered her opinion on it. A few frantic clicks of the switch and one soaked me later the window went back up.

Then this morning I went to get into the car and found that although it would unlock, both doors were frozen shut......cue hysterical laughter from one of my neighbours as she watched me climb through the boot to get the door open from the inside......suit and all!!!

Finally, to round it off whilst cruising up the M1 to Milton Keynes the passenger door decides to open. Only so it was on the catch but it happened whilst overtaking an artic. I guess where I'd been yanking on the door to get in the ice had melted and open it came....needless to say the last couple of days have been an experience!!

Is it just me or does anyone else have this sort of 'fun' with theirs??

Only thing bothering me about my coupe is the deflating tire feature

Last saturday it was my rear left tire completely flat, two days and it's fine now. Today it was my front right tire, checked for leaks, none found, it's toying with me I swear

I had that with my door catches. Give them a good clean up a spray with light oil and should be fine, otherwise door may need a slight adjustment

Sure you haven't upset anyone Ryna?

It was very very cold this morning, doors opened no problem but the catch locking mech froze open when I opened the door. This left the door just flapping open despite slamming it. It is my old daily knackerbox (ZX Volcane derv), so I just boiled a kettle and gave the side of the door a quick soak, then as quick a dry as poss and then a good dousing in WD40.

I don't think it's an issue with the catches themselves, more the fact I was trying like billyo to open the door but as it was frozen it wouldn't budge. I guess I'd slipped the catch a bit but not closed it properly. The melting of the ice then caused the door to open slightly. It's never happened before so I'm not too worried. Nothing like the last Coupe where when I undid the drivers window it would pop the door completely open.....not good when driving round a left hand bend
