Each badge "gives" car 10hp extra power, just like each sticker or other crap.

Just typical boy racers. Same as pricks who buy a £250 car then proceed to spend thousands on making it look and sound worse than it previously did. Also makes it worth nothing as no normal person would be seen dead in such an awful looking and sounding car. I always think to myself "why didn't you just spend all the money on a decent car in the first place"

It is what it is. Just accept it. Don't make it worse. You just look like a clown.

I never get anyone have a go at me in the Ur but it often happens in the Porsche, but its always a Bora TDI or Vectra...... *****.. i let them go.. the only one was a V10 R8.. bit of a pull but got him at the top of third.....

          Anyway bit off topic..

See a few 911's with the turbo "s" badges, looks rubbish..

I remember back in the day people would put the "Ghia" badges on their standard Ford Orion ha ha. It was hilarious. I just don't understand the mindset of it at all but it always provided me and my mates with a laugh. These days, the M badges are badly abused by many wherever I go. I guess there are a lot of standard bimmers out there in comparison to 911's for example.

This is the open topic forum, right?

Have you seen any 986s with 996 Turbo front ends on them? That's 'badged up' on a new level.
Mind you I've noticed at the Nürburgring people move out the way a lot faster when they think a 911 is approaching in their mirrors.

I think the worst part about this badging thing is when a badge becomes NLA, because they've all been put on Golfs or something.

There is nothing wrong with Golfs. Well, apart from mk3s, of course.
But we all remember the period in time when ~19.6% of mk2 Golfs had S2 badges on them.

There is a 3 series in work with 4.4 badges on each front wing. If only he had taken the 318 badge off the boot i would never have known

There is also a debaged M3 coupe in the same car park, that didnt fool me for a minute. Though the owner had the cheek to ask me if the S2 was real

What about all the muppets that had to put RS2 badges on everything form Mk2 Golfs to S2's?

I prefer a de badged car to be honest.

If its a higher spec car or fairly fast and it has the badge. Everyone wants to race you and you end up thrashing around all the time.

If it has no badge you can just pootle around and there is nothing to prove
