Well he sends you the payment into your bank account how could he scam you?
You can request the payment to be made through Western Union or MoneyGram. You pick up the money cash in several minutes after he sends it. You're pretty safe that way.

No problem. About the bank account, just to be on the clear side, I meant that if you have the money available in your bank account and you can cash it out, than you should be safe. I don't think the sender can ask for a refund but you should check with your bank.
If you receive an email saying that money is on your way and that you should send the merchandise so the money can be wired in your bank account, well that's a different story and clearly a scam. Or that you have the money into your account but you cannot access it until you send the stuff. Bulls*** like that.....

I think you are all over reacting here. This is exactly the kind of response I was getting when I was first trying to buy something online and everybody was watching me like a scam. Very frustrating. How can you tell that he is a scam since he asked for his bank account details so he can pay him?
We don't have paypal in Romania only for a few years. Before when buying something online I could only pay via Western Union/Money Gram or via bank transfer. But the fees are so high it's better with Western Union than with bank transfer.
So here I was trying to convince the seller that I am not a scammer, that I need to pay thorugh Western Union because I don't have other payment options. Very frustrating.

There is a topic here about first RS2, and somebody posted a clip at a time, saying that in 1993 the RS2 was launched - and for a second there was a RS2 a like car there.
UrS4boy said that there is not enough proof that it's a RS2 even if the ods are very high that it is.
Well where is the proof now UrS4boy, how can you say it's a scam if all the facts you have is that a guy from Africa wants to buy something and he asked for the details for payment?

Check with your bank. They will probably confirm that passing on account no., sort code, iban etc will only allow cash to be put in, not withdrawn. Just dont send passwords or dob etc.

Where is the shakes head emoticon when you need it.

How *you* connected those two things together I don't know. I know that I can: Consistent skepticism and paranoia. I am skeptical until the proof is irrefutable. Up to that point, I can be paranoid as well as skeptical. In this case, me being paranoid that it is a scam is much more healthy than giving out ANY banking info to a person that you have never met.

Like I said read "419". It's a novel but it is based on fact.

And oh by the way, I never said it wasn't an RS2 in the background of that video. I just said there was no proof from that video that it was an RS2 for sure. One fender and wheel do not a car make. Show me a wider shot and I will agree that it is an RS2.

I posted the pdf of the launching of the pre-production RS2 at the 1993 Frankfurt show so I know that at least one existed.

I heard that it is common scam. Money CAN appear in your account and as soon you send the stuff money from account DISAPPEAR! Bloke i know ended with no car and no money!
If somebody interested i can ask exactly how it was.
                        Namibia-quattro parts... Doesn't sound right
I believe they need quattro parts more in north pole then somebody in Namibia

Everything run trough internet banking is protected and monitored. He needs only your account no and sort code nothing else to put the money in the account. When you have the money in your account you gonna deliver the stuff.

If the payment sent to your account is fraudulent (e.g from a stolen account) it can be reversed... so you're never safe, even if you receive the funds directly into your account.

The odds are seriously stacked against you, so personally i wouldn't even entertain the idea of carrying out a transaction and shipping parts to this "buyer".

i once met a guy who puts it security in place for the government i can assure you what is built by a man can be manipulated by another. Unfortunately this will have to be your call probably the same odds as riding a motor bike and finishing unharmed.

there is a very large amount of shady money in Africa but also some innocent wealthy traders you will be shocked as to what some people have earned and can afford.
