  • Spell Checker

I'm not very good with pc's
Can anyone recommend a good spell checker program, ie one that will edit/highlight this text for example ? All the ones I have tried so far are copy and paste rubbish
I had this feature on my google (not chrome) toolbar but it seems to have disappeared
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

I have something analogue called a "dictionary". Digital, I check spelling of individual words with Google (kind of like tuning a piano with a sledge hammer).

As for highlighting, this forum is good in that if you left click and cursor over some text, to highlight it and then hit CTRL B you get "bold". CTRL U = underlined or CTRL I = italics. You can even combine all three like I just did here.

Type in Authorise and Authorize (or any variable) and get agitated. Arghghggh!!!

For basic English errors, this site is quite good at showing obvious flaws. Alas, as above, it gets many things wrong also.

As long as the message is clear, I don't particularly care. Content is more important. I just get annoyed at a machine suggesting I have something wrong when I clearly do not.

Try "in spell" for Internet explorer. Free and works well

            At last some sensible advise
Keep getting a message 'unable to connect to google spelling servers'
May be just a temp glitch ?

I quite liked the spell checker on Mozilla firefox, similar to the one on Microsoft word, underlined misspelt words in red and you could right click for suggestions.

Whatever the latest internet explorer is on my girlfriends computer does the same thing, but also sometimes auto corrects, which can be annoying at times,
