Problems with Royal Mail Airsure to USA

I always try and use the P/O product with the most amount of tracking but have had 2 sets of dials disappear on their way to the US in the last 18 montsh, both of which were sent with the 'fully tracked' Airsure product. One set getting lost was a pain but 2 is just taking the P, especially for £11 postage! I've also recently had an issue with ISF to Poland and am still awaiting the parcel to be sent back. Total bunch of :corey:s

Anyway, just sharing my bad luck in case anyone else thinks that Airsure or International Signed For is anything like a properly tracked, professional service like FedEx, UPS or DHL, which I've had take 3 days to get to the US... rather than 6 weeks and counting

    You have been warned...

Royal mail is getting worse and tbh more expensive at times than couriers.

For international they're about 1/4 to 1/3 the price but losing things and not delivering is totally useless.

What happens when public services attempt to make themselves profitable. Blame Crozier, he screwed up the FA and then got stuck into RM. Last I heard, he was being linked with the BBC. Should think he will fit in just right there.

Yeah ive had the same with royal mail. They have managed to loose or damage 3 our of 5 of parcels and packets that have been sent recently.

To top it off Claire went into the post office and asked for proof of postage and the guy behind the till said if you want it to get there you should use special delivery. Basically implying if you send via normal post royal mail dont expect to deliver it for you

I use interparcel too and they're good. They're also a lot more expensive for international unfortunately.

I've bought some POR 15 from the UK, the first package came just fine.
The second package failed to came. So the company from UK sent me again my order with signature on delivery.
The third package failed to came. So I told the company that still no paint. They gave me the tracking number which shows that the package has been delivered.
I told Royal Mail that I did not receive the package and to show me my signature on the delivery document.
They said to ask my local post office as they have delivered to them and this is not their concern anymore. :corey:

As a company for International packages DPD is the cheapest by far in Romania. They quote me around 220 GBP for a bumper to Canada and I've asked DHL as well. DHL's quote was... 1500 GBP

DHL freight is different from DHL pricewise. When using DHL for over sized packages make sure you use the freight quotation service you'll see your £1500 change into £150.

Agreed, Royal Mail are crap and well over priced, cost me £30 to send a RS2 replica grill back to Latvia with no sig or tracking! It hardly weighed anything either, total joke!!

I found there quotes for international delivery to be cheaper, sent an IM to Ontario for £46 special delivery and quoted £30 for a crank to Austria. I think that's fair, I sent my head from Glasgow to JP for £6!!! Imagine putting 30kg on the scale at the post office, it probably more per mile than a black cab on a Saturday night

Have you guys tried Parcel2Go.com? They seem ok for prices. Obviously much cheaper that ye old Royal Mail when sending parcels.
