I know what your referring to BP had a 102 Ron fuel for a while but it was like 2.42 a litre or something stupid

The skeptic in me wonders if your getting E5 which is supposed to have an octane rating of 99-102. Its the norm over here now which is great as proper 98 fuel disappeared many years ago due to lack of demand.

Didn't 5th gear do a test on fuels last week?
About 5 bhp difference between cheapo asda stuff vs the top "special" pump fuels
I ve heard of fancy mixes with redex etc to boost octane ratings

I've been using some octane booster 6 points and its a made a marked difference in the running of the engine.

Fit water meth and be done with it. 110+ octane all day long.
