    Tonks's Metro 6R4

I know it's completely the wrong forum but I know you lot like Group B stuff too.

So thought I would share a few pics of my new toy....

This is how I collected it at 11pm last night

And so after a full day of Tom and myself prepping and painting at 11pm tonight this is how it looks now

It's currently running a 2.0 Saab 900 turbo engine in the rear and is rear wheel drive.

I hope to get the engine running a little sweeter for now and then eventually it will get the Audi 20vt in the back, mid engined rear wheel drive....

Ill update the thread as stuff gets done

look forward to reading how you get on with this. What gearbox are you planning on using with the audi setup, just a stock fwd box like the cab?

How about engine mid mounted feeding a Quattro box. Use the front shafts on the box to drive the rear. Then of the rear of the box fit a sprocket to drive a chain. Then a prop shaft running forward driven by the chain feeding a rear diff mounted in the front....

If you have this to play with, does this mean you will be selling the shorty for a good cheap price???

You're absolutely correct! That's a hell of a lot of work for one day.

Looking good Brian. I didn't think there would be space for a 5pot in the middle without being right on top of the driver.

I know the ratios would be waaaaay out but could a transverse FWD box get fitted and run prop shaft forward to a diff and back directly to a diff for 4wd? I've seen rock crawlers like this.

However its done it will be fun. Good going on the days work already.
