    s2 front brake upgrade

Hello guys, can someone help me with the following:at the moment I'm running porsche 996 calipers with 314mm discs on my s2 avant..now,the s4b7 front brake kit(calipers discs345mm pads)would be a good upgrade, would they fit under 17"?,do they need new brackets?are these something to go for?they will come with the rear brake kit from s4b7 2008.thanks.

I thought not but I now believe up to 350's may fit under 17" rim.

      will be very tight though

its wheel dependent as discussed in last weeks brake thread. I use 993tt discs so 322. they are about as big as I wanted to go. they stopped from high speeds very well on red stuff pads. a little dead on feel from cold slow speeds but still stopped it very fast.

to answer are there better setups. depends what you want. caliper wise Im sure you can apply the force. disc wise id say the thickness is the important part. the next factor is pad type.

some judge best on overall performance, some on initial bite some on warm high speed performance.

with the s2 id go 6 pot, ds2500 and 993tt as a choice. cost can be an issue.
